I am so glad to have started my own blog. I want to use this as a way to share the Good News, and how God is working in our life. Also, I want to be an advocate for certain issues like home birth, natural lifestyle and healing, breastfeeding, Christian/Biblical values, and a host of other important topics. Along with keeping you up to date on our family life, I plan on discussing the ways of the stay at home mommy. Im new to all this blogging stuff, so bear with me ;) heehee

My Quest Begins..

..for a midwife who does home birth! Sadly this immediate Binghamton area has only midwives who work in hospitals along side OB's-NOT my cup of tea. And, when I called one of their offices, they had no clue about midwives who attend births at home. Fortunately I did some digging online and found out there are 3 midwives in Ithaca area who can do homebirths in and around our area :) I left a messege on the one's phone last night. I am very hopeful. I am not preggers with #2 yet, but just want to be ahead of the game..and have my options laid out. So much to think about. So much to research. Thoughts of a new home, trying for our second baby, raising Sophia, finding a midwife, and just making more of an effort to read God's word daily. It has been a good day. Picked up our grocery order from the church today. Here is the link to the angel food program: http://www.angelfoodministries.com/ It's a wonderful ministry, and helps with the cost of food. Daddy is across the street. We got our nap around 1:30 pm..it helped alot. I was in my pj's all day and Sophia is on her third outfit hehehe. I spent some time searching for homebirth midwives in NY, I did find a website, but the closest resource is in Ithaca, which I think is an hour away. I'm really hoping to find a good midwife. Also, our house hunting continues :) ..keep up the prayers ladies! It's freezing cold outside, and I have no place to be, just here to entertain sweetie pie..till we can finally take our nap. I don't usually need to take a nap, but today I am not feeling so hot. Aunt flow came to visit, and cramping has ensued. I think we will eat lunch before a nap. Sophia is letting mommy know that it's lunch time.
